Heating center
On the site of the former Haindl paper mill in Waltenhofen-Hegge, 120 houses and 60 apartments are currently being built. The living space in the form of single-family, semi-detached, terraced and chain houses, as well as apartments on one floor, will ultimately amount to around 24,000 square meters, and the total area of the site will be around 88,000 square meters. The new development area thus provides living space for about 500 people.
For a sustainable and environmentally friendly energy supply, the heating center for the new development area was realized by Gassner GmbH. Two combined heat and power plants supply the houses with heat. The electricity generated by the principle of combined heat and power is fed into the grid.
